Case Studies

Following are samples of  projects for which Integrated Work was the primary contractor or subcontractor for creating peer-to-peer learning experiences, providing customized training, and establishing a central information repository.

Peer-to-Peer Learning for Primary Care Associations:

From 2003-2010 Peer Learning teams have  provided staff from Primary Care Associations across the country an opportunity to share best practices with colleagues, learn from presenters and one another and explore possibilities for collaboration.

IWS created the teams, provided expert facilitation, researched topics to create robust content, provided detailed summary documentation and supported the teams with efficient logistical support for planning and running face-to-face meetings.  Strong, trusting relationships formed with the majority of PCAs have created opportunities for dialogue and feedback so that the teams are improved over time to best meet the needs of the participants.

Peer Groups have included:

  • Executive Director/CEO
  • Associate/Deputy Directors
  • Operations Leadership
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Strengthening Community Health Centers
  • Partnerships and Education
  • Workforce Development
  • Quality Improvement
  • Health Information Technology

Peer-to-Peer Learning for the Office of Performance Review:

For the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Office of Performance Review (OPR), IWS has provided organization, structure, background research and facilitation for three peer-to-peer Learning Teams furthering communication and collaboration between HRSA regional offices. Regional Coordinators across the ten HRSA regions participated in a peer-to-peer Learning Team facilitated by IWS in 2005 creating increased collaboration, faster adoption of best practices, and resulting in a more unified Office of Performance Review even though offices are geographically dispersed.
